3/6/2012 A beautiful natural treasure…

I think that the Rainbow Springs State Park has a couple of waterfalls. This was one of Florida’s first “attraction” parks in the 30’s. The land around the headwaters remained privately owned until 1990, when the State of Florida acquired the springs and saved them from development. Much of the work to open the park was done by volunteers from the community. It is always right to do the right thing!
