UP, UP and away to Japan! We are heading west but they call it the Far East??? I guess it matters where you start. Only 2 hours of car travel to airport, 18 hours of flight time, 5 hours layover time and a 2 hour bus ride away from the kiddos!
The colors of these flowers makes me think about the story of the creation of the candy canes. If you do not know the story look it up. God made this beautiful peony long before the red and white candy cane was made. Ecclesiastes 1:9 tell us…”What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” NIV
Today’s post had to have two pictures. This is early December in North Central Florida. We have it pretty good here considering the winters that so many parts of the country have. No we are not “dashing through the snow on a one horse open sleigh” … BUT we can hop on the tractor and cut us some hay.
Next year I am going to have the biggest zinnia bed I possibly can. We have already talked about the compost that we will be adding… the new water lines and ways to keep Kenai from digging up the beds. (That is probably the hardest part) I want lots of flowers… I need them to attract the butterflies. I remember in my science class in high school we made cyanide jars to kill bugs and butterflies for an assignment. Today I would NEVER kill a butterfly.. .now I might hurt that woodpecker that is making a hole in the soffit of the porch. (Just kidding!)
