Corinthians tells us… “¹⁵ If the foot should say, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that would not stop it from being a part of the body. ¹⁶ If the ear should say, “I am not a part of the body because I am not an eye,” that would not stop it from being a part of the body.. … ¹⁸ But God has put all the parts into the body just as He wants to have them. ¹⁹ If all the parts were the same, it could not be a body.”   God is amazing!

6/29/2012 WOW! The camera had more to say..

 This was a brown sunflower on a scruffy bush in my back pasture.  I was kind of stumped about what to write…. but WOW did the camera have more to say.

6/28/2012 A little time alone…

Our neighbors took a quiet canoe ride one evening.  They included their dog but they didn’t invite us. We waved and called out our greetings but they didn’t invite us to join them.  Sometimes it is nice to take a few minutes and spend a little time alone… alone time with someone that you love.

3/26/2012 Old and beautiful…

 This gorgeous stain glass door is the welcome at a local antique shop.

The door was old but still beautiful.   Kind of gives us senior folks a little hope. 

6/25/2012 Yesterday, Today and Tomrrow

 I see a rose from yesterday, one for today and a bud to bloom tomorrow.  I love that  each day has its own story and joy to share!

6/24/2012 Nothing spoiled this day…

Seward, AK is a beautiful port that both large cruise lines and small fishing boats share. One afternoon we drove to Seward had lunch and watched the boats come and go. The food was delicious, the aquarium fun but the best treat was the view! This day the water was mirror smooth, absolutely no wind. Nothing spoiled this day…… BUT just to the left of this view was a sign telling you what to do in a Tsunami!

6/22/2012 Building is soo exciting…

We are all influenced by what we see, what we hear and where we go.  One year when we got home from Alaska… we put our house up for sale, built a shop with an apartment and moved to the farm!  Why?  Because we had seen so many gorgeous log homes in Alaska and put under the spell of living in something different and unique.  Well, the house sold in 3 weeks  and we moved out in  2 weeks. It took about a year for us to finalize our log home… but we were living out what we had seen, what we had heard and where we had gone.  Building is soo exciting!

6/21/2012 “Catch & Release”

The Rainbow Trout is a special and prized fish in all fisheries. One day in Soldotna, AK someone asked me “Why would you pay to fish and then release your fish?”  (In Alaska when you are fishing with a guide, most practice “catch & release”… I know they are protecting their income source.) My answer was ” The thrill of the fish on the line, the gorgeous water, the sight of such a beautiful creature of God. I don’t have to “keep” everything.”….  I “keep” the memory and I also have this wonderful picture.
